Art Techniques E-Portfolio
welcome to the art techniques page. in this page I will show some of the art techniques that we can use it to include math, science and English in the lessons. To make our lessons more effective and interesting for the students.
Below each topic I mention about how we can apply this technique . Also I will mention the resources, instruction, developmental Domains, ADEC curriculum and references for further exploration about the technique:

3D Model making with clay
this is some example of the 3D model making
*Resources:
knife, clay, cake model, gloves, paint with different colors and paint brush.
*Instruction:
First, cut the clay in to a peace's. Second, use the cake molds to create your own Shapes. Third, wait for it to Dry around 20 minutes. Finally, paint the shapes that you have made. the gallery below shows the steps.
*Developmental Domains:
1-Fine and gross motor skills. Because they will push the cake model on the clay and this will improve the physical domain which is fine and gross motor skills.
2- the cognitive domain. so, the children will use their mind to think about how to Design and what the shape of the clay that they will make.
*ADEC curriculum:
English:
KLLK3 Term 2
use efficient and consistent motion to form letters
form letters using art materials
explore letters shapes using their body
1-Numbers:
K2NS2 Term 1
state the backwards number sequence from 1-20 in Arabic and English

2-Patterns:
K2PA2 Term 2
copy simple repeating patterns
copy a simple repeating pattern
attempt to copy a simple repeating pattern
3- space and geometry:
K2SGD1 Term 2

K2SGP1 Term 1
describe and show movement of people or objects to a new location
show movement of people or objects to a new location
show some movement of people or objects to a new location
KLW1 Term 2

Junk Modelling
*Resources:
different sizes of empty boxes, bottle cover, A3 papers, Wood stick, Plates, Liquid paints-papers –beads-glues and scissors.
*Instruction:
First, students need to think about the object that they will create.
Second, take the material that they will use to create their idea.
Third, start to create the object by joining the junks together with glue.
Finally, paint the object with the colors or cover it with the A3 papers.
*Developmental Domains:
physical domain: Cutting. they will use the fine motor skills to use the scissor.
Cognitive domain: Thinking and creating, Discovering things. So, they will think about the objects that they will create and how to join the junks together to create an objects.
*ADEC curriculum:
•3.1 Is about encouraging children, through the visual arts, to express their knowledge and understanding, thoughts and feelings covering the domains.
•3.1 Utilize a range of skills, techniques and reflective strategies to plan effective.

Here is one example of how to make a robot from junk.
Collage
*Resources: natural junks like: plants, trunk, papers, glue and paint colors.
*Instruction:
First, collect the natural junks. "make sure that is no a live junks"
Second, student will think about the image that they will make by using the natural junks.
Finally: start to make the image by using the natural junk, colors and the glue.
*Developmental Domains:
physical domain: fine motor skill " they will use the glue to make the image and they will use the scissor to cut the paper or the extra part from the natural object that they will not use to make the image"
Cognitive domain: the student will explore and think about how to make an image from the junks.
*ADEC curriculum:
English:
KLLK3 Term 2
use efficient and consistent motion to form letters
form letters using art materials
explore letters shapes using their body
K2MDT3 Term 3

name two or more days of the week, months of the year and seasons
name one or more days of the week and months of the year
Science:
KLW1 Term 2

Junk Painting
*Resources:
junks objects like: empty boxes, liquid paint, paint brush, plastic plates and A4 paper.
*Instruction:
First, put the A4 paper in front of the student.
Second, let the student choose the junk, put the liquid paint on the plastic plate for students to use it to create their image.
*Developmental Domains:
Physical domain: fine motor skills. they will use their fingers to draw a image with junks, and the whole body to push the junks on the paper to get the image on.
Cognitive domain: thinking about the shapes that they have after the painting and try to name it.
